USPS PS100 10 Pound Postal Scale
Ideal for home offices or small businesses that send out a high volume of mail, the PS100 postal scale helps you determine the correct postage for any item weighing between 0 and 10 pounds. The scale is equipped with four optimally placed single-strain gauges and a temperature-compensated load cell. In layman’s terms, this means the scale is precise to within 0.1 of an ounce, so you needn’t worry about your mail being rejected because of insufficient postage. In addition, the weighing platform, which measures 5.5 by 5 inches and is made of fine-textured, high-impact ABS plastic, sports a fold-up top for weighing oversized items, such as large flat envelopes or mailing tubes.
Other conveniences include an easy-to-read seven-segment LCD display, a Tare function that lets you re-set the “zero” weight (great for weighing loose items in a container without counting the container itself), mechanical overload protection should you weigh an item that exceeds 10 pounds, and a five-minute auto-off function that preserves power. Plus, you can power the scale via either the included AC adapter or a separately sold 9-volt battery. The latter option is great for business professionals who travel frequently to trade shows and other on-the-go locations.
The PS100 scale, which features a warm-up time of one minute and a minimum weight of 0.1 ounce, is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

4 Stars Works Great for small packages – so far
it took me a few tries before I figured out that it weighs in fractions of an ounce – so I was getting 1.9 etc for really light packages, which means 1.9 ounces. It only shows lbs when it’s heavy enough – and it seems to be pretty accurate. I use it to ship things with PayPal shipping via USPS and I have to round up to whole ounces anyway, so it doesn’t seem to effect the cost of postage negatively. As far as I can tell, I’m paying exactly what I would if I took it to the post office and had them weigh it, so it works great for me.

Have used this product for 1 month now. I have to say it functions perfectly. I ship a lot of small packages. Scale weighs small, light packages with great accuracy. Have not had any problems at the post office with inaccurate weights. If you have a small business and need to ship small packages, this is the scale you need. It’s worth the money.

I’ve been using this scale regularly for over a month now to weigh packages that I sell via the Amazon Marketplace. It’s compact, simple to use, and looks to be well built. It’s exactly what I was looking for in a postal scale.

It works quite well for my purposes. It’s consistent and accurate. It take a few seconds for the weight to equilibrate. My only complaint is that the surface is pretty small, so it doesn’t work as well for larger items.
